PODs

PODS is a social group for young people with Down's syndrome aged 9-13 years which meets on the second Sunday of the month for a social activity - food is involved on most occasions!! An adult carer generally stays for the activity but this isn't essential. Siblings often come along and are welcome to join in. Parents of group members volunteer to organise the events in turn.

The activities we have enjoyed so far are:

Swimming(a few times)
Bowling
Chesham Gym Pit
Pantomime
Meal in a restaurant
Pottery
Painting
Dancing
Picnic and games/walk in the park
TVAP
Activity Day at Green Park
